I feel... busy, like all my time goes away and I don't know how, because I honestly don't *do* much. I never seem to get anything done. People ask me why I haven't done this or that, and the best answer I can give is I've been busy with other things, and then they ask me what, and I don't have an answer. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, here. Whatever it is I'm doing, it doesn't seem to get anything done.

A while back, one morning, we were about to go somewhere and I glanced in the mirror to make sure I looked reasonably okay, which is about all I ever strive for, and I noted aloud that I looked tired, but otherwise okay. Ginny was standing near me and she said, 'but you usually do...' and she's right... and I can't seem to forget that. It just won't leave my head. If I mention I feel tired or sick, whoever is around me says that I'm always tired or sick, or both. I don't wanna be a fucking hypochondriac. I feel sick right now, and I know it's because I haven't been eating right lately, but I *was*. I had quit coffee, cut way back on soda, trying to eat 3 healthy meals a day with lots of vegetables and some protein and get enough excercise and I feel like fucking crap half the time.
And I can't see a doctor because I've got no health insurance and between the tickets to Bellingham and the usual living expenses I'm pretty broke right now.
I'm just ranting today... pay no attention to the monkey.

I need to get the car thing straight, and then I can get a decent job, maybe apply at Kinko's after vacation.
And kill the neighbors. Need to kill the neighbors and their damn stereo that only plays three different songs, all of them very loud, and all of them with very annoying, repetitive beats. I especially hate that one that sounds like a bad polka.

Going now... need to eat something today.

Gasp!

I see the problem clean, living kills. Exercise is OK but you must start eating sugar cereal and pop-tarts and drinking coffee and exspresso like your a fish trying to wet its gills. When you hit fifty consider cigars. All this good health stuff will leave you frail and weak. For your immune system consider the following work outs: even if the meat has a rainbow slick on top eat it, if food gets left out over night eat it, and if there is a few meal worm in the corn meal sift it then eat it. In no time your immune system will be primed into ninja like deadliness germs will know you mean freakin' business. Curse, mutter, or swear when you can also. This will put your mind in a non nonsense gettin' things done kinda mood. These refined techniques made it possible for me to finish off the inside of an apartment including redoing a wood floor while working fifty hours plus a week.

I'm good at swearing, and it's all Alex's fault, but cigars are nasty. What can I take up instead? Why does that feel like a question to an advice columnist?

Dear Madcowchef;
I like to swear and drink and sodomize, but cigars and cigarrettes are nasty. What other vices can I take up that will not taste nasty yet uphold my image as a complete and utter bastard/bitch?

You know those catnip infused bubbles you can get for your cat? Try those in your bubble pipe. As best you'll look like a cross between a mad professor and one of those insane cat ladies.

Oh man, we've got a bunch of those, Ginny keeps buying 'em and the cats don't like them.
Whooo! All I need is a bubble pipe. Thank you Answer Cow!

Now why does the cat who can eat flies and carpet all day long only throw up when she eats things that are actually food?

It may sound stupid to say, Rey, but when you do get a better job, I bet you will feel better. At my last job (which I HATED) I was so stressed all the time about what would come at me next (no consistancy there at all) that I was sick a lot, and I felt like a hypochondriac too, I was always having allergy attacks, athsma attacks, Migraines (I serious do get Migraines that put me out for at least a day), and I missed a lot of work. Since I have been at this job (that I like most of the time save for the clients) I haven't missed a day, and I have only had a few headaches. I think sometimes when you feel like you lack direction or things aren't going so well as far as the way you want them to, it can get very tough to stay healthy because your body doesn't like it either. I think eating right is a very good start, Robyn doesn't eat well and she gets sick and depressed when she doesn't but when she starts eating, chicken and salads and stuff (she won't eat much more than that as she is a total healthnut and gymrat) she feels a lot better...she fights an eating disorder though so it's hard for her to eat well.

WHOA off the subject there. Anyways, I really do think if you get a job where you are appreciated and treated decently that you would feel better all around...plus being in a healthy working environment can do wonders. And for the record, I look tired a lot too, you can't tell in my smile, but you can tell in my eyes and the bags I am developing, but that's because I am nearing the ancient stage of my life heehee.

*HUGS* I hope you feel better today. :)

Date: Jul. 11th, 2005 05:58 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] reymonkey.livejournal.com
Don't tell me you're ancient, you're only a year older than me. Bet I've got more grey hairs than you.
Mebbe it's the job... mebbe I'm just angsty and I need a kick n the ass. I don't miss work days unless I'm puking my guts out, because we're permanantly understaffed, so I go to work sick and despereately hope to pass it on to the boss. Then *he* might stay hom, but that's okay because his employers are happier that way.
I've never had an eating disorder, unless you count college. I forget to eat, I get busy and shit, I don't *think* that counts as an eating disorder. At least I don't live on coffee like I used to. I've finally given up on my caffiene cutback though, because it didn't seem to do me any good.
I like Gabe's answer, but cigars are nasty. They taste like wet paper bags. I took a puff off one Mike had once. Can I take up candy cigars instead? Mmmm... sugar rush.

I'm having more time wasting right now, because I have other things I'd like to be doing, but I'm supposed to wait for this chick I do graphics work for to call so we can run up to Kinko's and run off more postcards. Hurry up and wait. It's not her fault, it's just a bad mesh of schedules, but it's still frustrating.

>:) I'm posting under this jerk's account. Actually you are 6 months younger than me. I don't have any grey hairs yet...but I dye my hair so who knows what color it really is (actually I do know and it reflects silver does that count? heehee).

I think it's work. Cigars are gross gross. Candy cigars are hard to find but well worth the search. I DARE you to go to a cigar bar with a box of candy cigars ROFLOL! That would make your day better.

*HUGS* I feel for you Rey, I really do. Dead end jobs SUCK.

Sugar highs won't help though because they are not steady and they wear off quickly and can mess your moods up more. If I can help let me know, as it is I will cheer you on!!! HORRAY FOR REY! ^_^

I don't know anybody with dead babies, but somebody called Ginny at work once (she's the receptionist/AR/AP at a woodworking place) and asked if they could build a coffin for his hamster or soemthing. Would the nails from a hamster coffin work, or are those too small?

Trying to recall correctly..This sounds like a condition my mom has. Something like anemia. I know you can't go to a doctor to make sure, but have you tried taking extra vitamins yet? I think it was iron in particular. Maybe give it a try, see if it helps you feel a little better?

Date: Jul. 11th, 2005 07:38 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] butterworm.livejournal.com
My sister has an iron thing that is genetic where no matter how much iron she takes, she cannot absorb it into her blood. Taking too much iron can be dangerous too. Too bad we can't just say GO TO THE DOCTOR REY, GET YERSELF HEALTHY GIRL...ok so I just said it but words are words less she can afford it. :) But Vitamins and trace minerals are very good to take.

Two words kids. Iron, Shad.
Anyway, I've got a lot of little anomalies like that, and I've had them since I was a chiddler, my old doctor knew all about them and investigated them and none of them seemed to actually do me any harm, they were just weird oddities about my body.
Unless my thyroid is messed up again, that happened once but it was the damn drugs that did it in the first place, and after they took me off 'em it straightened itself out in the course of about a year. I had too many drugs as a kid, I try to avoid them these days. I don't trust doctors anymore. They want to give you pills for everything.

Date: Jul. 11th, 2005 07:54 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] butterworm.livejournal.com
Ouch...oh yeah, I get the two words in combination...so I guess Iron would not help you in the least. Hmm...thyroid can indeed make you sleepy and not feel well. :( Meds can screw you up big time if your thyroid is in trouble.

Slightly anemic, low blood pressure, just generally fucked. I'm bad at vitamins, but you're right I should take them. And Ginny just offered to help me eat healthier again, because I kind of slacked off recently. I think I eat less when I'm at home all day. No schedule, I get to doing stuff and I forget I'm supposed to eat. Rey sucks...

*Squiks you* Hmmm... you turned into a robot, how weird...
I look on your journal, but I only remember transformers as these toys I played with that my mom disapproved of when I was a kid. I used to get them from my fake uncle, he was my transformers supplier/dealer. Heee... she didn't like me watching He-Man either, but She-Ra sucked. I liked the green tiger in He-Man. I've had coffee today, can you tell?
I need to watch this new transformers stuff. Have you seen [livejournal.com profile] sages_of_chaos? There's some people RPing Transformers characters in there, along with everything else.

HEY I liked She-Ra. *hmph* *goes to pout more in the corner*

Though, Thundercats were my bag, baby!

Date: Jul. 11th, 2005 08:02 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] reymonkey.livejournal.com
Ginny loved thundercats. Sometimes I find her old fanarts for it around the house with old drawings.
we rented this old She-Ra tape at the videostore, a year or two ago, and there was this episode where they rescued this guy, and he was in love with this chick, and at the end I think she was supposed to be bandaging his leg or something and everybody wears superhero undies in that thing, but basically it looked like she was standing real close to him and he had no pants on. And She-Ra and some other people were still in the scene too, so it was pretty voyeouristic.
Don't I tell great stories? Wait, I got another one. No, really.

Ooh, sorry 'bout that! o_O;;;

Er, sorry also if I'm inaccurate about the iron...I know my mom would have a problem if she took too much. I should check with her at some point. Although it goes back to the doctor thing to make sure. I don't like doctors, either. I was very lucky to have the one in NY I felt comfortable talking to so I could get my meds...which is why it's a problem out here if I ever need to get something new. ;P

I forget to take vitamins, too. Calcium. Needs to make myself remember to take calcium.

Hmmm... you turned into a robot, how weird...

Yesh I have. XD The roomies have dubbed me the minibot of our household. ;D I actually haven't seen much of the newer TF shows, myself. We're more hyped up on the old Generation 1 cartoon and related comicbooks from '04.

I know about sages of chaos, but I don't think I could keep up with it. I have enough of a time with TFBlogs. ;)
