It makes me feel... I dunno, lucky but almost guilty, because I've had my cat for ten or eleven. I'm glad she's still healthy and here to console us over the loss of Spider, but... geez. In a way it's not right that the older cat should outlive the younger one. But I loved Spider too, even though Bridgie was definitely 'her person'. I'm the one that decided to get her as a surprise for Bridgie, as a kitten, because she was wanting a cat of her own so badly at the time.
