Urk.
Uhhh... I need advice, if anyone has any. My MP3 player is very, very dead. We're not talking about a dead battery here, we're talking dropped dead mid-song and is now an inert piece of metal and very expensive circuitry. It wasn't dropped or shaken or anything, it was in a pocket at the time. I think it had about half battery strength, and now it won't turn on again, and the computer doesn't notice when I plug it in the USB port.

Maybe you could just tell your parents that you were thouroughly enjoying it sooo much...before it just died and you have to call and find out what's wrong with it. They may just be ok with that...may not...or you could just get the replacement and never tell them about it at all, just keep saying how great it is. :)
