Made you look.

So it took me long enough, but here's the completed Maggie cheesecake pin-up thing. Hours of watercolor pencil, and there's still some details here and there I'm not quite happy with. Some things are just too hard to paint over without messing them up further, though.
Big image is big.

That's almost it for the half-finished stuff I had laying around, so now I'll need to start fresh on the backlog of stuff that's never even gotten that far, I guess... ;)

Well, okay, she's not a chick anymore, she's plenty grown up...

Oh, that's very pretty. Very lush.

Incidentally, I saw the comments on the wedding pic. I am not the only one who is impressed with accurate gerbil drawing! (By the way, the gerbils finally got to eat some wedding cake yesterday. They snarfed it up.)

Thanks! The texture came out pretty good.

Yeah, it's so funny that people are big on the gerbil anatomy thing. They're just gerbils. I went through about six or eight of them, in pairs, over I forget how many years. There were two hamsters somewhere in there too but they were vicious little bastards.

Is that safe for gerbils?

People are big on it because so many people can't draw them -- they either make them look like hamsters or weird blogs.

I just gave them a few crumbs. :)

...blogs?

Gerbil blog
Day 1, 3 AM

Tried to dig through floor of tank, ran on squeaky wheel. Chewed cardboard loudly.
My human doesn't seem to be sleeping well.

Nah, hamsters are the ones that look like blobs.

Exactly! So when people draw gerbils that look like blobs, it fills me with rage. Gerbils are not blob-like!

Aha! I see you over there on DA, yes. I seriously need to catch up with comments over there.

Your Mr. Punch icon is scary. I think he wants to eat my soul.

The story I got on this Punch is that it once stood outside a tobacco store, like a wooden Indian. That probably kept the kids away. And some of the grownups.

Yeesh! It's even worse thinking of it at that scale...
