I've never had anything featured like this before! Obviously I need to crank out the steampunk stuff, between the jackrabbit, and the steampunk gargs is my most popular piece... Just wow. Well that's my ego boost for the month.

Nathaniel Bloodthorne, but he is not spreading that last name around because it could concievably get him killed, or at least ostracized.

Er, Likel, really. Best friend with benefits.
03.) Sexuality?
Straight, not openly active, secretly carrying on bizness with Likel.
04.) Favorite color?
Green or black. Never thought about it...
05.) Relationship status?
Devout bachelor, but happily doing it behind closed doors.
06.) Ideal mate?
Doesn't exist, but Likel probably comes close. He'd prefer it if he were younger/closer to her age, and she had never married, but apart from that it's all good. She's very intelligent and she gives him his space and keeps his secrets.
She's a saint for putting up with him, actually.
07.) Turn-ons?
The usuals plus an immense amount of trust that she can keep his secrets, and won't be disturbed by his past.
08.) Last sexual experience?
Probably fairly recent, depending how busy he is.

Oh geez, Never thought about it. A good venison stew maybe. When he's reminded to eat.

Amaryllis, Likel when she was younger and his best student. And, you know, being courted by some male elf her own age.

He's not much for music, but likes the sounds of nature.

The discovery of his past as an assassin. He'd probably get kicked out of what is, technically, his ancestral home (even if it does house a whole community now), or possibly even put to death. That Likel will get tired of his grumpy ways and withdraw from him. That taking in Lonia will eventually bring the wrath of the cat people down on them all.
13.) Biggest fantasy?
That his efforts to prevent the fall of elven society succeeded. That Amaryllis lives.

Tries not to look at the brand on his own arm.

Does misanthropy count? He's secretive and overly defensive and snappish and cold, and kind of a pessimist. Oh man, I'd better stop there.
16.) Biggest regret?
That he got caught for killing the king he was working for instead of Eidolon, who he was hired to kill. That Eidolon didn't turn out to be the lynchpin to saving the elven culture from a major political war.
17.) Best kept secrets?
Uhh... all of them? That he's actually from an assassin family, spent his youth killing for hire, and may have contributed to the downfall of society by trying to meddle in the political assassinations to save it.
That's pretty good secret keeping, since everybody but Likel thinks he's just a grumpy physician.

We're not out of winter yet and my supplies of feverroot are running low damnit...
19.) Worst sexual/romantic experience?
Having to let courtesans hit on him so he could get close enough to their father/uncle/husband to make the kill.

Uhhh... he keeps his arms covered because of the brand. Isn't this part of the fears thing? He's not physically insecure, really.

01.) Full name?
As far as he knows it really is just Telve, a lot of elves from the slave time have only the one first name. His parents named him that because it's short for 'Telethaveth' though, which is the Arraka'aran title for 'Grand High Wizard' and it would take some explanation of the language to give you the exact definition. I'll explain it if you want, just warning you.
02.) Best friend?
Ahahahaha what? There are some people he gets along okay with.
03.) Sexuality?
Very straight, very kinky within that, and very, very interested.
04.) Favorite color?
Green, he wears that color a lot.
05.) Relationship status?
Depends what time period we're talking about. The older Telve has hooked up with Bardha, but he's made it damn clear he's not about to promise to be exclusive. On the other hand at his age his flirting with other women usually doen't go anywhere. He was very promiscuous from the time he became Grand High Wizard up until the drug addiction, and he's never been up to quite the same speed since, but the rumors have kept going and he'll be flirting until the day Bardha dies.

Adult Female Elf.

Adult Female Elf.

As recent as possible.
09.) Favorite food?
He likes his tea, and desert food, which is pretty spicy. I don't know that he has a specific favorite dish.

The only one that could really qualify as a crush is Otan, his first apprentice. He met her when he was wandering the desert, fell for her hard, then it turned out she was a scout to determine if he was the GHW. When he found out that was the case, it really broke his heart and he never quite got over it. The promiscuity really started partly as a way to get back at her.

Dying slow and infirm, although... he'll kind of have to get over that. Being a slave to his own power and title... basically all his worst fears have come true, and he's had to live with them. This is why he's such a miserable person.

All the women he liked best, at once.

Oh god... Uhhh... yeeeagh. Well menage a' trois is only the beginning.

Cursing non-stop, lechery, being a miserable cuss to everyone, even people he likes.

Otan.

Otan. Or at least he thinks it's a secret. Telve makes it pretty obvious that he likes sex for it's own sake, and doesn't love anyone, but that's really not true and there've been a few. Jaen, Otan, and Bardha are the three major loves over the course of his life.
Probably the real big secret is just how instrumental he was in the success of the slave revolt across the world. He mentally connected and coordinated things where he could, and without that it would have failed.

What, like, before he dies? Probably 'about damn time'.
19.) Worst sexual/romantic experience?
Er... Otan? I've never made an official decision on if they did, but probably. Maybe only once. When he found out she was a scout for the Council, he felt about as betrayed as it's possible to, especially when the full impact of being roped into the job for life hit him. They would have found him whether she was the scout or not, but that's besides the point, really.
20.) Biggest insecurity?
He's a little insecure about the massive leg wound, both because it's ugly to see in bed (but so are the whip scars, and he's no looker to begin with), and because he hates the physical infirmity.

Hard to say, probably John. He gets along well with just about everybody, but in some ways he relates to him better, even though they disagree on perspectives sometimes.

Straight, awkward about jumping into the relationship with Harley. He got burned bad on his last girlfriend, even if it was a fake memory.

Uhhh... I'll say rust, just to be weird.

Very recently no longer single.

Someone who's intelligent, genuinely caring (last one wasn't), willing to accept him even though he's in rough times, and firm enough to curb his self-sacrifice to reasonable limits.

All the standard physical things, a strong will, and a good voice. This is what got him in trouble before.

A long time ago, unfortunately. Rat is enough of a gentleman that he hasn't touched a lady since his girl left him, and they were living in sin but he'd just proposed... But, y'know, all that is fake memories so who knows?

Coffee, anything free. Hamburgers are good, they've got all the food groups.

Uhhh... Harley?

Jazz and blues. He'd love Van Morrison if he heard him.

Failing his friends or somehow being unable to help them in dire times.

Becoming a popular blues artist in his own right, famous enough to live off that.

Uh. I imagine he'd be really concerned about making the girl happy. I dunno. Humming? I don't think of all my characters in sexual situations.

Smoking, but he's kind of intermittent with it. Rat's a little laid-back on some of the good manners of the time period. Partly it's that being on the streets has roughened the edges, and partly he comes from a blue collar background, but he had better manners when he was a teacher.

In terms of real memories, killing one of the Strangers, even though he had to. In terms of fake past, suggesting they sell the ring back to the store temporarily, after he lost his job and they weren't sure how to make ends meet.
17.) Best kept secrets?
Muahahahahaha One he doesn't know about, that is a mun plot. I will say this, most people in the city don't have a past as detailed as his. There's way more supportive evidence than most people have. The Strangers worked very hard to make him think he is who he is.

Wonder what Harley and the kid are up to now... oh! Can I beat that other cab to the curb for this fare?
19.) Worst sexual/romantic experience?
Uh... ex girlfriend, I guess. For better or for worse wouldn't have worked out, if the way she took all she could carry and split is a hint.
20.) Biggest insecurity?
Losing his hair. There's not much he can do about it though. He just hopes being tall keeps people from noticing the receding hairline so much.
In a lot of ways Rat is based off Shad, the tall and the nose and the music thing, but I'm told he just may be the closest in personality to me of any character I have. Even more than D.S., who is my all time favorite. I dunno if that's valid or not, but there it is. I guess he does have a lot of my personality with the laid-back and the jokes.
