Broadcasting from B'ham

I'm here, in the great pacific northwest. Where's my Dunkin Donuts?? Where's the street traffic? We were driving back from the airport and there was some kid advertising stuff with a sign at an intersection, and I realized with a start that that's the only kind of people with signs you get at intersections here.
I couldn't sleep last night. I think I got to sleep around 4 am my time, because it was so quiet. Kinda creepy. Nobody moving in the other apartments, no street traffic, no sirens, no fan, and no pretty girl beside me. *cries*
I'm worried about her, but I don't want to go calling her up at all hours because it's my parent's long distance. I called her a second time last night to make sure she got in bed, and I woke her up. *smacks forehead*
Damn time zones.

Edit: I am so jetlagged, I forgot to put in about how we got woken up this morning with the call that my grandfather was going into emergency surgery for an encapsulated hernia. Wheee. We have since gotten the call that he came through surgery fine, but they're still watching him close because he's on blood thinners and they didn't have time to take him off them and wait before the surgery.
But he's okay, so... welcome to Bellingham.

Also, Somebunny snuck into my suitcase. Somebunny left me a little present. I didn't notice it until I was getting dressed this morning. X-> Thank you for making my morning. Man those suitcase inspectors must be up to something kinky...

Quiet is creepy? I live in a QUIET town...no noise at all but the train at regular intervals and occassionally a siren from a cop chasing drag racers down my road.

I like noise too though like sirens and stuff...reminds me of college and Atlanta...but I like quiet too, it's easier to sleep when I am the only one making noise.
