What do you use for reference for your hand sketches?

And where did that figure pose come from? It reminds me of an iceskater.

Ehenh... the hands are just... my hand. Hold it in different poses and draw it. I'm left-handed, which is why the hands here are all rights.
I have no idea on the little dancy figure, it was just a random active pose out of my head. Same thing on the swirly bits.
