Uhhh... I need advice, if anyone has any. My MP3 player is very, very dead. We're not talking about a dead battery here, we're talking dropped dead mid-song and is now an inert piece of metal and very expensive circuitry. It wasn't dropped or shaken or anything, it was in a pocket at the time. I think it had about half battery strength, and now it won't turn on again, and the computer doesn't notice when I plug it in the USB port.
Sansa e260 and I hate to have to send it to the manufacturer when I've only had it since November and it was an Xmas present from my parents...

I'd say, contact the manufacturer and see what they charge for repair. It should still be under warranty.

Yeah... I'm gonna have to give in and set some time aside to call them because they don't respond on the website, or if they do they're taking their sweet time about it.
