Stuff and things... and stuff.
Mar. 3rd, 2007 08:38 pmThis here is a meme-thing where you are supposed to interview each other. From Morri and anyone can post here to make me ask them five questions and so on and so forth yadda yadda.
1. What is your absolutely number one favorite song?
I gotta pick one? That's tricky. I'm strange about music (I blame Shad) and I have this tape that has a few of my absolute favorite songs on it. I don't listen to it much, because these songs are kind of sacred somehow, like you can't listen to them every day or the magic of it will wear off and they'll be just like every other song played on the radio. Lessee, it's got 'It's a Kind of Magic' and 'Forever' by Queen (Both from Highlander), 'Take on Me' by Aha, and the song Harry Belafonte sang on the Muppet show, tinnily recorded by holding a tape recorder up to the TV on high volume.
2. What is your best childhood memory?
I think it's really interesting you asked this. I have lots of childhood memories but not a lot of good ones, or at least those aren't the ones that stand out. I'm looking for one that stands out and I can't come up with anything specific. Christmas mornings were classically warm and fuzzy. My mother singing to me at night, or maybe my dad singing to me before bed because that was rare. He always sang 'how much is that doggie in the window' because he said it was all he knew. Wonderful voice. Horribly tone deaf. But he always did the 'woof woof's.
3. Why do you think it's important to record dreams?
You should be in on this one, it's all kinds of Jungian or something. I'm not sure. I guess things are more important to me when they're rare and I don't remember a lot of my dreams, and most of what I do are nightmares. I try to record the ones I do remember, sometimes for inspiration and sometimes for insight on my own brain.
4. What qualities make you want to be friends with somebody?
Shared interests? I dunno. I'm friendly with pretty much everybody, but it's not the same thing... I'm not sure. It takes me a while to trust somebody enough to really think of them as a friend and I'm not sure what makes the difference.
5. Why do you like Dirk Gently so much?!
Hahahaha. I like my male characters short, heavy, and hapless. I'm not sure why, but it's a definite theme. Dirk fits all of this, and he thinks in convoluted ways about esoteric things, which I can relate to. He also talks like Shad on speed or something. Douglas Adams' writing style has a lot to do with it too.
So, still recovering. It was Friday morning at about four am I started throwing up. It's now Saturday night a week later and I'm still edging back into solid food. Every time I eat solid stuff it sits in my stomach like a lump and I feel queasy afterward. :P Feeling pretty normal otherwise though, which is an improvement over just the past couple of days. I'm ready for a day off though.
Bridgie's birthday was yesterday and I felt like I didn't give her much of anything because I had plans for stuff to make her before I got swamped with work/puppetry and then horribly sick. Bleargh.

Not much else to post... brain dead.

Date: Mar. 4th, 2007 06:57 pm (UTC)It was going around on RP character journals, and someone I play with got a photo of a woman holding a beerglass in her... in her. Kind of thing that makes a chick cross her legs. WTF?
