Deer that don't look like deer
Mar. 15th, 2010 01:57 pmRealized I'm probably behind on updating here. It's so much easier to just play stupid FaceBook games... but I've been arting and stuff. Emotional ups and downs. I had to ask my parents for money, which was... nerve-wracking and depressing, but they said yes. We're going to have to run directly to the downtown office, but we won't have any utilities shut off so that's good. This weekend I've been working on the IARMAC website again, which is... ugh. The original CSS from whoever designed it makes me tear my hair out because they created 39 different text styles and use about four. I'm too lazy to really ream through it all and clean it up properly right now, but at least I've worked on fixing the cringeworthy-red-on-blue text thing. The overall site design is very nice though, at the front end, and I claim no credit for that. It's just always awkward taking over a site designed by somebody else I guess.
We took the foster kid to the gardens this Saturday, where there are awesome glass sculptures, and I will need to make a photo post or something later. In the meantime, she ran around with my camera some and took a nice candid photo that's my new FB profile pic. But yikes, look at that grey streak...
On to the art! I foolishly entered a fan-art-a-thon thing on The Endless Forest community, while I still had an art trade out and some art of my own char I'm trying to finish. Got the first two done at least. ( cut for pics )
This week's Fanart-a-thon character is mine, so I can get a jump start on next week's. Also did a fun little TEF meme. I like those, but the trouble with art meme's is the first thing they always ask is for you to introduce yourself, which means you end up drawing some craptastic little self portrait on each one. Some people have cool weird avatars of themselves I guess, but I never have. Even when I started out on the web with my 'a Spire to Touch the Stars' website the avatar I had was Reya Cil, who looked like... me. In a patchwork coat. Go fig. That design ended up being the Minstrel for Morri's Bleeding Skies, so at least the coat is still around. I always meant to make one like it in real life out of fabric scraps...
And I think my brain has offially wandered off the track now, so I'm going to make lunch (holy crap is it almost 2:00?) and see if there's more stuff I need to do on the website.
