You know the world is encouraging you to go on vacation when three days before it the AC breaks.
It is 98 degrees today, but someone must stay home, with the AC off so that the line can hopefully thaw by the time maintenance comes to fix things. There is also a nice pile of dishes to be done, plenty of cleaning and packing, and we are out of both cat food and cat litter as of this morning. Oh yeah, and we're out of coffee.
I think I'm really going to enjoy Maine.
ETA: Many hours, two floodings of the kitchen, a new thermostat, and three maintenance guys making baby talk at the cat later, we have AC!
