My drawing ideas do not go away until I draw them. They just don't. I have pictures composed in my head that have been hanging around since at least high school, still waiting to be drawn. No joke. I cannot tell you how reassuring that is. I have the exact same freaking problem with music. I have music composed in my head that have been hanging around for... well, a really startling amount of time. For lack of time to get stuff out of my head, I have the most tremendous backup in there. Very noisy.
Also, like you, haven't had any decent time to post in a while, though I also have a bit of a list of things to post lurking in my skull, too.
I really loved your clockmaker hare. Have you anything else along that line coming?
