Yeah, we're weird.
Mar. 27th, 2006 12:27 pmSo we've actually been talking about it a while, but we finally broke down and got the setup and bought our first millipede. He's about eight inches long, and way more interesting than a giant bug should be. The cats want to know what the fuck is wrong with us that we're all excited paying attention to this box. I called my parents last night because I hadn't told them yet that I have a job, and my mother thinks it is truly creepy of us, but at least it's not a tarantula. My dad just kind of went 'okay...' and then changed the topic to computer stuff. The people at work think I'm absolutely insane.
But he's so damn cute! He actually walks around and explores and shit, in the evenings at least. Plus he's damn cheap to feed.
In other pet news, I lost another goldfish a couple days before, and now I'm down to just poor little Davy Jones swimming around in the big tank all by his lonesome. RIP Lillith, queen of shadows. She has taken the porcelain express to heaven to join her old companions Mordac lord of unholy fury, Azoth the black, and Widget.
Yeah, the millipede is named Walenski, because he curls up into a spiral, and the move 'Dark City' is really big in this house. And my cat is still named Squeakers. We have no normal pets.
( cut for spooky picture of the great Walenskipede )
