Yeah, the slowdown has definitely affected us too. Clark plays with the same people all the time, and while that's fantastic, I like to do new things once in a while too. I've been unburying some of my old characters to take for a spin to try and make up for it (right now my main one outside of Clark is prototypezeus).
On my side of things, I've been looking at the broader canon of the DC universe and looking for things that might fit in the Smallville setting (I've been alluding to Batman for a while now but haven't introduced him yet, for example. And I want to bring in the Green Lantern Corps pretty soon). On April-mun's side, we're doing some Buffyverse plots that were inspired by the post-series comics. And of course now that they have a kid, there's always slice of life stuff that can be done.
I will also admit to occasionally flipping through movies that are on and seeing if anything inspires a plotty thread or two. ;)
